Information We Collect

Utilify itself does not collect any personal information. All data you enter into the app's tools (calculations, conversions, text) is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third party.

Locally Stored Data

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Favorites: Tools you bookmark for quick access
• Theme preference: Your light/dark mode choice and accent color
• Language preference: Your selected display language
• Usage counter: A simple count used to decide when to ask you to rate the app
• Consent state: Your ad-consent choice (only if you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland)

This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you uninstall the app.

Advertising

Utilify uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve ads, including:

• Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
• IP address
• General location (country/region level)
• App usage data and interaction with ads
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Ad Personalization

Google may use the data collected through AdMob to show personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > disable tracking for Utilify
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
• In-app: When first launching the app, users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are presented with a consent dialog where you can choose whether to allow personalized ads

Consent & GDPR (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related data protection laws.

Upon first use of the app, you will be shown a consent dialog (powered by Google's Certified Consent Management Platform) that allows you to:

• Consent to data processing for personalized advertising and content
• Manage options to selectively allow or deny specific data processing purposes
• Decline personalized data processing entirely

Your consent choice is stored locally and can be changed at any time through the app settings. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the legal basis for processing personal data through advertising is:

Third-Party Services

Some tools rely on public APIs. None of these calls include any personal data — they are simple read-only lookups of public information.

• Google AdMob: For serving advertisements — Privacy Policy
• Open Exchange Rates (open.er-api.com): Used by the Currency tool for live exchange rates. No personal data is sent.
• CoinGecko: Used by the Crypto Prices tool for live cryptocurrency prices. No personal data is sent.
• ipapi.co: Used by the IP Info tool to look up your public IP address and approximate location at your request. Only invoked when you open that specific tool.

Children's Privacy

Utilify is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

Since Utilify does not collect or transmit personal data, there is minimal security risk. All locally stored preferences are protected by your device's own security measures.

Data Retention

Utilify does not retain any personal data on its servers. Locally stored preferences (favorites, recent tools, theme) persist until you clear the app data or uninstall the app. For data retained by Google AdMob, refer to Google's Data Retention Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
