Terms of Use

The app, in short

Inkline is a meditative knot-untangling puzzle, played entirely on your device. It runs offline. It includes no advertising, no third-party tracking, no accounts, and no social features. The first chapter is free in its entirety; the remaining chapters unlock via a single one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple or Google.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and play Inkline on devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, sell, sublicense, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or its assets except as expressly permitted by applicable law.

All artwork, kanji compositions, sumi-e brushwork, sound, code, and written copy in Inkline are © 2026 Playpal Apps and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

In-app purchases

• Inkline offers one optional in-app purchase, called "Unlock the remaining scrolls". It is a single, one-time, non-consumable purchase that grants access to the chapters beyond the free Mountain chapter.
• The purchase is processed by Apple's In-App Purchase service on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. We do not see, store, or transmit your payment information.
• The unlock is tied to the Apple ID or Google account that made the purchase. Use Settings → Restore Purchase to re-enable it on a new device signed in to the same account.
• Refunds are processed by Apple or Google directly, under their respective policies. We have no ability to issue refunds ourselves. See Apple's refund flow or Google Play's refund flow.
• There are no subscriptions, no auto-renewals, no recurring charges, and no microtransactions of any kind. The single unlock is the only paid product in the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Inkline for any purpose that is illegal or harmful.
• Attempt to bypass, defeat, or interfere with the in-app purchase verification, the receipt validation, or any anti-tampering measures present in Inkline or in Apple's / Google's billing services.
• Decompile, disassemble, or otherwise reverse-engineer the app, except to the limited extent required by applicable law.
• Repackage, redistribute, or rebrand the app or its assets.

Privacy

Inkline collects nothing. The full disclosure is on the privacy page, which is part of these terms by reference.

Updates

We may release updates that change the app's behaviour, fix bugs, or add features. Updates are delivered through Apple's App Store or Google Play and follow your device's normal app update settings. We do not promise that any particular feature will continue to exist forever, nor that the app will remain available in your country indefinitely (though we hope it does).

Disclaimer of warranties

Inkline is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected, though we will do our best.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Playpal Apps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of Inkline. In any case, our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the in-app unlock (or, if you have not paid anything, USD 5.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Children

Inkline is rated for all ages and contains no objectionable content. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you should obtain a parent or guardian's consent before agreeing to these terms.

Termination

You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may terminate or suspend access if you materially breach these terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund, except as required by law or by Apple's / Google's refund policies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country and state in which Playpal Apps is established. Where you live in a jurisdiction that gives you mandatory consumer-protection rights, those rights apply in addition to (and override, where they conflict with) anything in these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the "Last updated" date below will change and we will note what is materially different. Continued use of Inkline after a change means you accept the new terms.
