How can we help?

DailyStreak is made by one person, and that person answers the email. Most questions are covered below.

Talk to a real person

Email us and we will reply personally, usually within seven days. Please mention your device (for example "iPhone 17" or "Pixel 9") so we can help faster.

Streaks and schedules

How do streaks work?

Tap the check-in button on a habit's card when you have done it. For an everyday habit, each day you check in adds one to the streak. Today does not count as missed until it is over, so a streak from yesterday is still alive this morning.

What does "Times a week" do?

It is for habits you do a set number of times a week, from 1 to 6, on any days you like. The card shows how many you have done this week, and the streak counts weeks instead of days: each week in which you reach your target adds one. Weeks run from Monday to Sunday. The current week never breaks the streak while it is still in progress.

What is "Set days"?

A DailyStreak Pro schedule for habits that belong to particular days, such as Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Only the days you pick count. The other days are skipped and do not break the streak.

What is a streak freeze?

A freeze protects a streak across a day you missed. It is part of DailyStreak Pro, and you get two each month; they are topped up on the 1st. To use one, open the habit, tap Freeze, then Use Freeze for Yesterday. The frozen day is shown in amber and the streak carries on. A freeze covers yesterday only, so it needs to be used the day after the miss.

Why does my streak show zero?

For an everyday or set-days habit, the streak returns to zero when a scheduled day passes without a check-in or a freeze. For a times-a-week habit, it shows zero when last week's target was missed and this week's has not been reached yet. Your check-ins are not lost: open the habit to see your best streak, total check-ins and history.

I checked in by mistake

Tap the check-in button again and confirm to undo today's check-in.

I would rather not see streak numbers

Open Settings and switch on Gentle mode. The app then shows a completion percentage instead of a streak count.

Reminders and widgets

How do I set a reminder?

Edit the habit and choose a time under Reminder. Each habit can have its own. The app also sends one evening nudge at 9 pm, only on days when habits are still unchecked.

I am not getting reminders

Check that notifications are allowed for DailyStreak in your phone's settings. On Android, also check that battery optimisation or a battery saver is not restricting DailyStreak, because that can delay or block notifications. The app cannot override those settings.

The evening nudge stopped

The evening nudge is scheduled for the week ahead each time you open the app. If you have not opened DailyStreak for more than a week it stops, on purpose, so it does not keep nagging. Open the app and it starts again.

How do I add the widget?

On iPhone or iPad, touch and hold an empty part of the home screen, tap the add or edit button at the top, search for DailyStreak and choose the small or medium size. On Android, touch and hold an empty part of the home screen, tap Widgets and find DailyStreak. The exact steps vary a little between devices. The widget shows the streak for your first habit.

DailyStreak Pro

What does Pro include?

Unlimited habits (the free app allows 3), full-year history for every habit, two streak freezes a month, share cards without the watermark, CSV export, and habits on set days of the week.

What does it cost?

US$4.99, once. It is not a subscription and nothing renews. The exact price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy.

How do I buy it?

Open Settings and tap Unlock Pro, then Unlock Pro again on the DailyStreak Pro screen. The purchase is completed by the App Store or Google Play.

How do I restore my purchase?

Open Settings, tap Unlock Pro, then Restore purchase, while signed in to the store account that bought it. Do the same after changing phones or reinstalling the app. If that does not help, email us.

Can I use Pro on both my iPhone and my Android phone?

No. A purchase made on the App Store covers your Apple devices, and one made on Google Play covers your Android devices. The two stores do not share purchases.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google. Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your Google Play order history.

Your data

Do I need an account?

No. DailyStreak has no sign-up.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything works with no connection. The app only goes online for the DailyStreak Pro purchase.

How do I move to a new phone?

On the old phone, open Settings, tap Back up and save the file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, such as your files app or an email to yourself. On the new phone, install DailyStreak, open Settings, tap Restore from backup and pick that file. Restoring replaces whatever is in the app on the new phone. Backup and restore are free, and they work between iPhone and Android. Pro is restored separately, with Restore purchase.

Can I open my data in a spreadsheet?

With DailyStreak Pro, yes. Open Settings and tap Export as CSV.

How do I delete everything?

Open Settings and tap Reset all data. This permanently removes your habits and check-ins from the device and cannot be undone. Deleting the app removes everything too.

Does DailyStreak cost anything?

The app is free with up to 3 habits, with no ads. DailyStreak Pro is an optional one-time purchase.
