Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 October 2026 · Last updated: 6 October 2026 · Developer: Naveen Raj (Playpal Apps) · App: Pomma (com.pomma.app) for iOS and Android

Pomma does not collect personal data. Your sessions, tasks and statistics are stored on your device and are never sent to us. This page says that in more detail, including the two occasions when the app goes online.

The short version: no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Everything you create in Pomma stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. The app connects to the internet only to download its typefaces and to handle the optional Premium purchase through Apple or Google.

1. What we do not do

  • We do not collect personal information of any kind.
  • We do not offer accounts, logins or sign-ups, and we do not ask for your name or email address.
  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not use analytics, crash reporting, tracking or advertising identifiers.
  • We do not run servers that receive your data. There is no Pomma backend.
  • We do not sell or share any data, because we have none.

2. What is stored on your device

Pomma keeps the following in the app's own private storage on your phone or tablet:

  • Your tasks: title, optional notes, your estimate, the colour you chose and how many sessions you have completed
  • Your session history: the kind of session, its length, when it started and ended, whether you finished it, and the task it was for
  • Your settings: timer lengths, daily goal, sounds, haptics, notifications, palette and light or dark mode
  • The timer in progress, so a session survives the app being closed
  • Whether Premium has been unlocked on this device

On iPhone and iPad, today's session count and your daily goal are also shared with Pomma's own widget and Live Activity. That sharing happens on the device, between parts of the same app.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else, and none of it is linked to your identity. Deleting the app removes it.

3. When Pomma goes online

Pomma works without an internet connection. It makes network requests in two situations only:

  • Typefaces. The app may download its two typefaces, Inter and Space Grotesk, from Google Fonts and then keep them on the device. Like any internet request, this one reaches Google's font servers from your IP address. It carries no information about you or about how you use Pomma. Google describes how it handles these requests in its Google Fonts privacy notes. If the device is offline, Pomma falls back to the system typeface.
  • The store. When you open the Premium page, buy Premium or restore a purchase, the app talks to the App Store or Google Play through the system's own purchase service. See section 4.

4. The Premium purchase

Premium is an optional, one-time purchase that unlocks extra colour palettes. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see your payment details, your name, your email address or your store account. The app is told only whether Premium is owned, and saves that answer on the device.

5. Permissions

  • Notifications (optional, on both platforms): used to tell you when a session ends while the app is in the background. These are scheduled on the device. Pomma does not use push notifications from a server. You can refuse the permission or turn notifications off in Settings and the timer still works.
  • Android only: vibration for haptic feedback, keeping the screen awake during a session, scheduling an alarm at an exact time so the end-of-session alert is not late, and Google Play billing for the Premium purchase.

Pomma never asks for your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendar or location.

6. Children's privacy

Pomma is a general productivity app and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

7. Third-party software

Pomma is built with Flutter and open-source packages for on-device storage, local notifications, sound, haptics, charts and widgets. None of them sends data from Pomma to a server. The typefaces come from Google Fonts as described in section 3, and purchases use Apple's StoreKit and the Google Play Billing Library as described in section 4.

8. Your rights and your data

Because Pomma never sends your data to a server, there is no database from which we could retrieve, correct or delete it. It is on your device, under your control. Settings has a Reset all sessions button that permanently deletes your focus history. Tasks can be deleted one at a time. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it saved.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
