Terms of use.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using ToolTrunk ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). On iOS, you additionally agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple's Standard EULA"), which is incorporated by reference. On Android, you additionally agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.

2. License

ToolTrunk is licensed, not sold. PlayPal Apps grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices that you own or control, in accordance with the applicable App Store / Play Store terms and these Terms.

3. Advertising

The App is free and supported by advertisements served via Google AdMob. By using the App you understand and accept that you will see banner and occasional interstitial advertisements. We have no editorial control over which specific ads are shown; ad selection and serving is performed by Google. 4. No subscriptions, no required purchases

ToolTrunk does not currently offer auto-renewing subscriptions or any required in-app purchase. The full set of tools is available free of charge, supported by ads. If we introduce optional in-app purchases (for example a one-time "remove ads" unlock) in a future release, this section will be updated and any new purchases will be handled exclusively by Apple StoreKit (iOS) or Google Play Billing (Android).

5. Accuracy disclaimer

The instruments in ToolTrunk rely on consumer-grade sensors built into your phone. They are designed to be useful and reasonably accurate, but they are not calibrated reference instruments.

• The Sound Meter uses the device microphone, which is not a calibrated sound-level meter. Readings are approximate and should not be used for occupational, medical, or safety decisions.
• The Spirit Level and Compass depend on device sensors that may drift, require calibration, or be affected by nearby magnetic fields. Do not use them for safety-critical applications (e.g. construction, aviation, marine navigation, electrical safety).
• The Ruler defaults to an estimated pixel-per-millimetre based on the device's reported display density. Calibrating with a credit card improves accuracy but the result is still approximate.
• The Protractor measures touch input on the screen and depends on you placing the handles correctly.

You agree to use the App for its intended general-purpose, everyday use and not in any setting where an incorrect reading could cause harm or financial loss.

6. Privacy

ToolTrunk collects no personal information directly. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown, including the data Google AdMob may collect to display ads.

7. User conduct

ToolTrunk is a single-user offline app. There is no community feature, no chat, no user-generated content shared between users. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App except as permitted by applicable law and the platform EULA.
• Circumvent the advertising system, in-app billing, or any technical protections.
• Use the App to harass, defraud, or violate any law.
• Distribute, sublicense, or resell the App.

8. Trademarks

"ToolTrunk" and "PlayPal Apps" are trademarks of PlayPal Apps. "App Store" and "iPhone" are trademarks of Apple Inc.; "Google Play" and "Android" are trademarks of Google LLC. ToolTrunk is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple or Google.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. PLAYPAL APPS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OR THAT MEASUREMENTS WILL BE ACCURATE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PLAYPAL APPS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR PERSONAL INJURY) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WHERE APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF SOME WARRANTIES OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

11. Apple's role (iOS)

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and PlayPal Apps and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or the contents of the App. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms; upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

12. Google's role (Android)

Likewise, these Terms are between you and PlayPal Apps and not with Google. Google is not responsible for the App, its content, or any claims related to it. Your use of Google Play and the Android operating system is subject to Google's own terms.

13. Termination

This license is effective until terminated by you or PlayPal Apps. Your rights under this license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of these Terms. Upon termination you must cease all use of the App and uninstall it from your devices.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version always lives at https://playpalapps.github.io/ToolTrunk/terms.html. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of your country of residence.
